Barking Abbey operates teams that participate in Senior National Leagues, School Championships and International Tournaments, to enable us to fulfil these commitments and continue to be the leading basketball programme in the UK we are constantly looking for passionate, enthusiastic and knowledge basketball minds to join our team. If you have any interest in the following areas then this is an opportunity for you to become part of our programme.

Team Management and Support

Each of our team requires help with team logistics, including planning trips, managing team equipment, and player registrations.

These roles would involve attending practices and / or games, assisting with general administration.

Academy Press Office

The Academy program generates an incredible amount of information that needs to be managed to a variety of media outlets. We have an increasing number of sponsors who require information. Our main outlet for our programme is our website www.abbeybasketball.com roles including the management of this are also available.

Coaching roles

We have opportunities for coaches to work with our programme. Volunteers will need to be committed coaches with aspirations to work with elite performers and already making strides to reach the higher levels of coaching.

Game Night Support

As the Barking Abbey game night experience grows it requires more people to make sure that the event runs smoothly. The main areas of support are event managers, looking at spectator comfort, safety and court dressing.
